RENDEZVOUS
[At precisely 7 A.M. on the Peregrine's standard time, both CommLink screens and wardens' cabin control panels flicker to life with a live video stream.
The Navarch sits at her desk, looking as put-together as usual, but perhaps a touch more perky. Today is a social day.
She speaks:]
Good morning, passengers. If you look out starboard-side windows this morning, you will see that we are pulling up alongside the Feather, another ship in the Admiralty’s fleet. Some representatives will be temporarily boarding the Peregrine to collect the Lover’s Kiss that was collected on Meodriotope some weeks ago.
Estimated docking time is 5 P.M. Ideally, docking, loading supplies and departure should take less than an hour.
The representatives will also be bringing a gift for those that contributed to the gathering efforts. If wardens who assisted could identify themselves, along with the inmates that assisted, I will arrange for gifts to be sent to the appropriate cabins and bunks.

As punishment for his behavior in port, I've tasked my temporary inmate with caring for and ensuring the safe transit of Lover's Kiss. He's done a good job.
How can we help?

Good morning, Navarch Minerva.
Thank you for the information. I'll be arriving earlier to help with the transfer process. I helped with gathering, but I think you're already aware of that.
May I ask what kind of ship the Feather is? Particularly as it relates to the fleet, ours being a prison barge, to my understanding.

Looking forward to meeting the denizens of the Feather.

The Lover's Kiss will need to be moved to the loading bay, and the representatives may need some assistance in loading the materials aboard their transport ship. It's hardly glamorous work, but if you are prepared to help move boxes, that will do it.
Did you assist as well?

The Feather is also a part of the Transformative and Penal Reparation fleet. They have wardens and inmates of their own, but as an older ship, they partake in humanitarian missions we are not yet qualified for.

There's a pause. A solid beat. ] Yeah, I did. Viktor—the new warden—helped me out.

[He should really ask what the deal is with overboarding, at some point. For now, though.]
I was actually going to reach out with a question related to similar endeavors. Is it possible we could be provided with details about the planets we are passing in advance? We've been discussing taking inmates out to provide aid to others, or perhaps to procure supplies for their fellow passengers.

[Were you going to volunteer, boys? One of you she's sure would. The other is going to be coerced. Guess which is which!]

As he was... I think attacked by the local eels? Or something? I don't believe he had any chance to collect the flowers either. Neither did I. Personally speaking I intend to do better at the next port and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

There will be some work to do when the representatives are here. If you would like to assist, that would be agreeable.
As for advance information on planets –– I will see what I can do. There will be plenty of opportunities soon for supply runs and aid work. We are just waiting for the "green light", as they call it, from the Admiralty.
