I am pleased to inform you that we have been granted the opportunity to establish a permanent workshop and laboratory facility aboard the ship.

This facility will be used primarily for machine maintenance, engineering, and associated experimentation, with room for other endeavours - it should prove a versatile space.

To begin installation, >50% of wardens must approve; however, since the potential benefits are not so limited, I believe everyone should have the opportunity to weigh in.

Please indicate below whether or not you support this idea.

Should you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them.

That will be determined in part by the nature of our resources - overall, I imagine it will trend toward the exploratory.
Mechanical prototyping, for example
Or investigating the properties of new and interesting plants.

Well there are enough of the latter, i guess.I guess without being able to cast i can't do shit anyway, even with what alchemy i know.
so go nuts i guess, i don't care.

Your findings could still be recorded - the knowledge is worth keeping.
It's still uncertain how much alchemical equipment will be available, if any, but the possibility is there. I will let you know.

what, like write down my spells and stuff? i've been transcribing what i can remember into my comm since i've got little else to do. but back home i had tons of notebooks where i wrote stuff down, you can't memorize everything. spells tend to have a lot of steps and instructions, lists of components. alchemy especially.

well i've been doing that with the shit in the greenhouse too, a little bit anyway. mostly I'm just doing it to look up stuff in the library later.

i'll think about it. harder for me to look up stuff about magic in the library. i'm limited in the amount of books on magic i'm allowed to take out in a month.

not me that's for damn sure. it's fine for all other books but i'm limited on ones related to magic. they already took my spellcasting away so what do they think i'm going to do?

trying to write everything out on this thing is exhausting for some reason. though i guess being able to edit easier is good.

The editing is convenient, certainly, but you lose the tactile pleasure of tearing out pages you don't like, crumpling them up and throwing them somewhere.
Deleting a file is not even half as satisfying.
