[Loki's having trouble sleeping. The turbulence has his heart racing and stomach dropping with every sudden motion, and while he knows the likely reason why, he's not about to admit it. And while the Navarch's offer of medication is kind, he's not so certain he wants to knock himself out entirely while he's paired with his current inmate.
So he's up. And tense. And looking for a distraction. Perhaps he's not alone.]
Is anyone else awake? I'm not one for pills, unfortunately, so I haven't managed a single wink. And now I am just terribly bored.
Who's up for a chat? We're all still fairly new here, after all. Can't hurt to share the basics with the group, yes?
For example: Why are you here? Or why do you *think* you're here, at any rate. That should get us through the rest of the night on its own, for some of you.
But I also have time to hear all about your tragic childhoods and major regrets, if you'd like. Might as well get started on graduations while we've got the extra time. And what better time for baring your soul during a bout of insomnia?

i only have one to type with too, actually
i use swiping to spell out things when it's not something complex i need to type manually
practice is useful for all that too, but it starts with familiarizing yourself with where all the letters are first
after you get that down with muscle memory, it's a lot smoother

I've used computers before so I'm not completely unfamiliar, but normally people call each other if they want to talk. Or meet in person.

say for example you want to spell the word cat
hold your thumb down on the c and, without lifting it up, drag it to the a and then the t before lifting your thumb up
it'll add the word in, and you can correct it if it guessed the wrong word from where your thumb moved, but if you do that with the next words in the sentence you're forming, it'll keep adding the words and spaces for you so you don't have to keep hitting each button one at a time
