Why don’t you know what happened to him?

I mean, he relied on me for a ton of things too! I was the front runner of our little operation back on Helios. He would have never gotten as far as he did without me.

[ He'd also not have gotten into the deep amount of shit he did without Rhys.... ]

Uh, it's a long story. But last I heard from him he'd escaped being some bandits hostage. Then a lot of stuff happened and I didn't know how to contact him, or if he's even still alive.

I'm sorry to hear that.

[ That last bit is actually potentially some useful knowledge - but not to use against Rhys. Lucifer wonders vaguely what Rhys would be willing to do for information about his friend. Good things obviously. ]

I'd be upset, if my best friend was in trouble and I didn't know how to reach her.

He's probably fine. He was a trooper.

[ He most definitely wasn't. Vaughn could be scared of his own shadow on a good day, and even with his washboard abs the dude wasn't a trained fighter. But its a better thought than imagining him dead.]

I'm sure you're right.

[ Lucifer has no clue, of course, what sort of person Vaughn is or if he'd be capable of getting himself out of trouble, but that sounds like the most reassuring thing to say. ]

Maybe there's a way you could make sure he's okay.

If I couldn't find him when we were on the same planet, how am I supposed to find him when we're probably in different galaxies?

The Navarch could probably do it. But that would require you confiding in a warden, I suppose.
