Pairings 003
[At precisely 7 A.M. on the Peregrine's standard time, both CommLink screens and wardens' cabin control panels flicker to life with a live video stream.
Today the Navarch is at her desk. The tabletop is somewhat busier than usual, with stacked tablets and an empty coffee mug. She's crisp and to the point, perhaps a little more than usual, but with careful professionalism.
She speaks:]
Good morning, passengers. It is time for a rotation in the assignments. For the next thirty days, wardens will be the primary point of contact for their assigned inmate, and responsible for the inmate's moral development and well-being. Inmates are also permitted to live adjacent to their warden's quarters for the duration of the pairing, if the warden deems it appropriate.
During this particular period, we will also be testing the acquisition of limited files on inmates. Through their communicators, wardens will have access to basic statistics on their paired inmate, including simplified details of their crimes. Please use this information wisely.
Without further ado, here are the pairings for this month.
Warden Viktor, paired with Conner Jaskulski.
Warden James Barnes, paired with Jason Todd.
Warden Misty Day, paired with Malekith the Accursed and Amanda Young.
Warden Claire Fraser, paired with Silco.
Warden Grace Gibson, paired with Alex Mercer and Jeremy Pascal.
Warden Aki Hayakawa, paired with Ellie Williams.
Warden Lucifer Morningstar, paired with Rhys Strongfork and Travis Touchdown.
Warden Loki Odinson, paired with Theon Greyjoy.
Warden Alice Quinn, paired with Theodore H. Crawford.
Warden William Temple, paired with Jack.
As always, I will be available to wardens for questions and concerns by appointment.

voice, warden filter;
[System, what system. They can fashion their own system.
After a pause, he restarts his feed to add,]
Good luck, Warden Morningstar.

likely would be useful to pool information we've learned outside of that too
( if they're doing tickets anyway. )what we've tried for an inmate
what seems to work, what doesn't
we could all meet after new temporary assignments and share information in the warden command
easier if the exchanges are handled together and could maybe even help, if there are multiple existing perspectives the rest aren't aware of

I was thinking the same... as well as storing this information centrally so any warden might access it at his or her own convenience.

agreed
wonder if there's a way to set up a private warden only server for library materials
maybe something our metal feathered friend could facilitate?

But I'm still learning my way around computers, so managing a, eh... a server... may be a task better suited to someone else. You likely know more about them than I do.

Smart idea. I'll send mine along.
[Now to just hope Grace agrees and sends this "Jeremy" person's out as well...]

Much appreciated. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your inmate... so far he seems to be adept at, eh... flying under the radar.
[He just learned that idiom. Fun.]

[He sends the file along.]
I haven't spoken to him, yet, but that'll be a fascinating place to start.
no subject
[He's definitely looking at the file during this pause.]
These are still so brief. It would be nice to have some context.
no subject
Or maybe it's just meant as a warning for what they might be capable of. [Shrug.]

voice;
Yeah, okay. Okay, it's weird; I don't think this even says anything important. Theo's middle name is Henry, and he didn't have a job when he died. The rest, I'm pretty sure he just tells everyone?
no subject
[This is so impeccably deadpan it's probably hard to tell he's kidding.]
It's a little weird to have access to these files in the first place, to be honest. I doubt anyone will look at you sideways for considering the privacy of those they concern.

[Things to ask about once they meet, which he's on his way to do now, anyway.]
no subject
Some kind of patrol? No further details?
no subject
[Which he sounds less perplexed about than he perhaps should; early retirement was standard in his field of work.]
I'll ask about it, though that doesn't guarantee I'll get a response.

[Back to his pliers and wires,]
