Who among you has experienced one of these “simulations” before?

[that’s right - no introduction or pleasantries, mello just cuts right to what he wants to know. he’s not here to make friends, just collect whatever information he can - which shouldn’t be too hard, he thinks. people typically enjoy talking about themselves.]

So it's an emotional assault as well. A clever method, unless your target happens to be completely divorced from emotion.

[that's not him, of course, but mello does know someone who wouldn't bat an eye at something like that. probably. then again, mello has never been able to see entirely clearly when it comes to near.]

It can be unpleasant like that, yes.
But sometimes it's more like a film with a main character tailor-made for you.
Which some people actually enjoy.

Not as much as some.
But I've learned from the experience.
Gotten to know people I might not have otherwise, on a deeper level than I would have easily reached by myself.
