it's not like there's a lot to do around here other than sit around and wonder how long i actually have to spend here, i guess.

besides that, i was dead, and they brought me back. if they were using any magic that i was familiar with to do this, you'd basically be undead. so you wouldn't age. but you wouldn't technically be alive, either. i don't know how whatever it is they use works.

mostly necromancy. but i also know some alchemy and was learning some gravity spells before i died. still read up on them in the library, even if i can't practice, but they limit me on what i can read.

but that's what makes me wonder all the time about what *has* been done to those of us who've died. if it's magic, it's beyond anything the other mages back home couldn't only dream about.

although, if you're talking about selling souls, i've certainly read a *lot* of stories about people who've done that, but nothing i can personally confirm. maybe if i had had a chance to get better at summoning spells, i could have found out for myself.
