[ A normal question, asked at a normal time. ]

Theo Crawford's missing. [ A pause. ] 19, red hair. Looks like he's wasting away.

[ Likes magic, reading, and chess. Liable to kill someone for a cigarette. ] His sheets are gone, so we may be looking for a body. [ It's dispassionate, his voice sealed off against any emotion. ] I'm checking with the Admiral about that.




ooc: JUST A NOTE that I am a-okay with other people finding Theo/inmates finding him and lying to William about it/what have you, this is just a post to get the word out! He has a log over here.

[ The video mainly focuses on a close-up of Grace from the nose up, just her huge dark eyes all bleary and sunken from lack of sleep in the dim light of just the screen of her comm. Apparently she was already awake when the call went out.]

[ A long moment of quiet, of dead air, before he finds her inbox. ] I think he's dead. [ He blurts out, though it's hushed. Another heavy pause.

Come look with me, he wants to ask, like she's Misty. She's so young. Theo's so young. Volk, Aki. ] Yeah. [ He shuffles through the few facts he knows about Theo, comes up with: angry. ] I'm gonna check outside Warden Command.

[ She blinks, trying to clear the sleep (or lack thereof) from her brain. ]

You want a hand getting somewhere you shouldn't be? Recon's my thing, remember?

[ Because. You know. The whole walking-thru-walls thing. ]

[ Oh. Right. Voice brightening ever so slightly: ] Have you been in the warehouse?

Think so. Want me to meet you there?

[ The camera's view moves dizzily for a moment, and the light in the room snaps on. Clearly, she's getting up. The light does absolutely nothing favorable for the dark circles under her eyes, especially this close up. ]

It's a little... [ What, creepy? Packed with creatures suspended unblinking between life and death? ] Yeah, thanks.

Are you doing okay?

[ A brief, not at all suspicious pause, while Grace figures out she has her video feed on. Whoops. ]

...I'm fine. I'll be there in five.
