[ Rhys is already an irritable guy, and of he isn't getting a good nights sleep and his basic creature comforts he's even quicker to be a snippy asshole. He must be at a breaking point or something, cause he's really Feeling It Mr. Krabs this week.

The video clicks on, camera focusing on Rhys's face, behind him the sleeping pods from the dorm that he hasn't been lucky enough to escape for the month. ]

So hey, I've been really, really patient with this whole situation. Waaaay more reasonable than anyone deserves, but I think it's about time I put this out there:

Lack of privacy? Of fresh air- real or simulated? Of access to the infirmary, gym, or spa if there even is one on this ship- It's an infringement on human rights.

That's right, I'm suing! And all of you should too. Who's with me?

[The leg sweep. Fucking classic. The moment Travis feels himself locked in, he knows what’s about to happen, and he leans in hard to the side. Just like his Master taught him, as good as reflex: your opponent moves, you’ve got him on one foot. You throw your weight into that. Hard.

( while he hadn't anticipated a return throw, he did prepare for the possibility, weight still on the front of his left foot. the fact travis throws himself hard against bucky's right leg even helps, the force helping him build the momentum needed to twist himself around and pivot back wholly to safety.

whoever this guy is outside of the peregrine, he's good. strong tactics, smart moves. bucky doesn't want to have to use strength directly, but it may be one of those times. fists raised as he comes back around to leverage his balance, he immediately goes in for a one-two punch. )

[Travis gets bearings easily enough to duck the first, but the second feels like it'd be a crapshoot even if he dodged it. His block feels like he could fold like a lawn chair even if he. Fuck, there's a lot of power there.

He takes it to the face, naturally. Later on, his cheekbone will hurt like a bitch. For now, the burst of pain and jerk to his neck feels like reason to go harder. The moment he's recovered, he's back for more, swinging again. Relentless. Nobody ever respected a man who gave up quick.]

( he doesn't bother with a response, more intent on subduing travis and cuffing him than letting him continue his rampage. while he doesn't need one, bucky does find himself missing the advantage of having a combat knife.

with his control centered, most blows are deflected, others dodged. growing up brawling with steve has its benefit here, and when he sees the opening he goes in for a sharp liver shot — it's with his left, being the side he must strike with, but he holds back as much strength as he can so as not to damage the organ from the impact of metal. if it lands, the guy might need a hefty breather before he can jump back up and swing some more, which is more than enough time to pin and cuff him. )

[Yeah, that one's going to need a breather. Travis staggers away from the blow, knowing he's open, and well, that won't fucking do. Despite having the breath knocked out of him, Travis pushes through the pain, attempting to straighten up. Fists up, but forget it, he can't swing. Everything is pain!

But what pisses him off in this moment is that this guy probably isn't going to kill him. He's going to lose like a bitch and then have to think about it for the rest of his life. God, he never should have moved into the woods. Never should have quit.]

( he doesn't particularly take pride in the act, the success of it, but he whips out his cuffs and snaps it to one of travis' wrists. )

You'd do yourself a service to not struggle. You wanna fight, fine, but this isn't the way.

( tugging by the wrist, he reaches around to grab the other arm, cuffing both wrists together behind travis' back. )

[Travis yanks his other arm away, raising an elbow to strike at Bucky's face as he tries to turn. He can't make it easy, even if he feels like puking on the guy's shoes. Through gritted teeth, exhaling hard through his nose:]

Service this, asshole.

[His hands are currently occupied, but hey, you know what he means.]

( thankfully, having a cuff on still makes it easy to manage distance. it's dodged and that's the opportunity bucky uses to properly pull his arm over and secure it. man, why they always gotta do things the hard way? )

Yeah, yeah, you're a badass. I get it.

[Forever and always a badass. Travis tugs anyway, even when he's cuffed on both hands. It's that or giving in and puking, babyyy!]
