[ Grace actually got here a while ago. Apart from a brief encounter with one guy by the inmate cells, she's been drifting around, invisible. Watching. Not talking to anyone, just observing. One guy got handcuffed to the cafeteria tables. It very much reinforced her resolve about staying invisible for a little while.

But she hadn't been lazy-- Her first goal was to raid the research library to find some stuff written by people who are way, WAY more experienced than her about this whole situation. She's spent the past few days reading in her room.

Probably now that she's more acclimatized, it'll be an okay time to try to communicate. Safer. Via text. ]

since arriving here i've been trying to read more about what the experts in the field recommend to assist with prisoner rehabilitation and reintegration. a lot of it seems... difficult to implement, at least immediately

but one of the things they discuss is the option of Group Therapy and i was just wondering if there was anything like that already available

it seems like it could be helpful

[ It is a GREAT COMFORT to Grace to know that there is 1. a doctor on board and 2. at least one single person who seems to know what the hell they're doing. ]

there are at least a few people who think it might be beneficial
if not now then maybe down the line sometime
mysteriously they all seem to be wardens
i wonder why :)

The inmates are still finding their footing here. It might take a few weeks for them to warm up to any idea suggested by wardens.

it isn't our fault that the inmates are here
we're supposed to be here to help them, aren't we ?

Most don't believe they belong here. Some don't believe this is real at all.

But you're right, and this isn't a bad idea to throw out there.

if none of this is real then there's no harm in playing along
at least for now
until they realize they're not about to wake up back home anytime soon

it could be helpful for wardens too
it's not easy to be so far from home, all alone

No. I do think it's important for us all to have a sense of community and belonging, while we're here. Warden and inmate alike.

after the other day it's good to know that some people here are really trying
there was a fight
it was a little concerning

it kept me from getting food for a while

i think he just likes to yell

i did some time in therapy, before i was an inmate. i just told them what they wanted to hear.

could you have found it helpful if you had participated genuinely ?

it's not for everyone i'm sure
but i think it might help some people to know they're not alone

individually

but if we want to foster community it could be good for everybody
share the load you know ?
