They're ostensibly here to repair the ship, but when we got a hole knocked in us by a meteor I didn't see anyone, and besides that nobody on the repair crew seems to ...care? that the loading bay door is a guillotine. We have no way to actually ask them to repair things, which is an interesting approach.
